About
Sarah Susa is a freelance writer whose work has been published in a number of equestrian publications, including The Chronicle of the Horse, Untacked, The Plaid Horse, and Horse Illustrated. She was a regular contributor to Patch.com for several years, and received a Golden Quill Award for spot/breaking news reporting for her Patch.com contributions.
She has a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Allegheny College and a M.Ed. from The University of Pennsylvania. She is a high school English teacher at Upper St. Clair High School outside of Pittsburgh, Pa.
A lifelong equestrian, she is the owner of Black Dog Stables in Gibsonia, Pa, where she lives with her husband and son. She is a board member and foster home for Flying Changes Equine Rescue.
